Cell Finishing Lines for Pouch Cells

PEC offers systems for large format pouch cells with tabs on 1 side and tabs on opposite sides (blade cells). Cells are provided to our lines right after electrolyte filling to start the required activation and testing processes.

PEC provides all specific equipment for the handling and processing of the cells, including cell specific compression pallets. Together they form the Automated Cell Activation and Testing Line.

A typical line for large format pouch cells contains the following modules or units:

• Pallet loading and compression units
• Soaking cabinets
• Roll pressing units
• Formation and grading towers
• Degassing and final sealing units
• Ageing (Room and High Temperature)
• Cell sorting units
• Final inspection and packaging
